Peru and the Republic of Korea established diplomatic relations on April 1,1963 and the Embassy of Peru opened its door in Korea in 1980. In 57 years, both countries have consolidated links of friendship, based on the common principles of peace, mutual respect, cooperation, and shared benefits. The Embassy contributes to increase day by day the existing level of cooperation in a vast array of issues, such as science and technology transfer, economic development and social inclusion, education, health, security and defense, environment, climate change, e-government, and culture.

Foreign Affairs Minister of Peru
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru is one of the oldest institutions in the Peruvian state, created on August 3, 1821. Its headquarter is located in the Torre Tagle Palace, one of the most beautiful viceregal buildings in Peru. In the pandemic situation, the Foreign Ministry has made the best efforts to return our nationals and serve the most vulnerable abroad. Additionally, it has mobilized international cooperation, through medical missions in the country and the donation of equipment. Today, Peru is a country that promotes peace, multilateralism and concerted solutions, particularly in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19. The challenge is continuing with an agenda that helps mitigate the COVID-19 and the economic reactivation of the country
