Indonesian Embassy is one of the largest Embassy in Seoul.
There are 3 main buildings in the Indonesian Embassy Complex, the office building, the home staff apartment, and the residence of the Ambassador.
The construction of the office was finished in 1977 and on the same year the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul was officially opened by Mr. Adam Malik, the Foreign Minister at that time.
'This is Diplomacy' is a campaign carried out by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizing that diplomacy is not just negotiation by high-ranking officials at a round table. Diplomacy can be carried out by all lines of society in various fields. The Indonesian Embassy in Seoul made this happen in an event entitled 'Festival Indonesia 2019'. The preparation and implementation of the event involved various layers of Indonesian society in South Korea in collaboration with the Seoul City Government. Indonesian economic, cultural and culinary diplomacy were introduced at this festival.
The Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship (IACS) has an objective to encourage better understanding amongst participants from member countries through Indonesia’s immensely diverse arts and cultural.
Young generation is the best asset a country has to become agents of change. From that idea, The First RI - RoK Young Leaders' Dialogue was held in Jakarta 10-11 October 2019. The dialogue for the young generation was attended by participants from both countries from various professions.
Another youth forum initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia is the Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC). Bali Democracy Students Conference (BDSC) which was held with the aim to transfer the value of democracy to young generation and absorb views and input from them.
